Dave, SC19 here in Florida. Is this an upgrade from the early 80's stock casting and tiller extension?

I was here in West Palm when Bill was producing locally and sailed 17 and 20's for a couple of years. Big fan of the design, 30 years later I picked up an early Boston Whaler product. I'm repairing the daggerboard trunk and hull damage for one and other stuff. Rudder blades have some slop and one of my castings has a small hairline crack.

Thanks,

Hi Mike,
I'm pretty sure they are from an early boat. I'll look at the one remaining hull and see if I can find a hull #. I had #55, a 1980 I believe, up until recently, and never had any complaints with the rudder system. And these appear to be identical to those. What did they change?

That was the nature of my question to you. When you said upgrade your rudder systems, Ackerman tiller arms I may have jumped to a conclusion that these were upgrades to the stock.

Thanks.

Sorry, they are completely stock. I was envisioning these being adapted to non Supercats when I made the "upgrade" comment. The boat they've come from is an '81 Supercat 20.

Dave
