DetailsHobie Fleet496 is one of hundreds of International Hobie Cat Clubs that comprise the World Hobie Class Association. We are primarily located in southern NH however we do like to travel to Quonset Point R.I.. Located near Kingston R.I., it is less than two hours away for most members. Quonset has a large launch area for easy access to the water.
Hobie Fleet 496 was formed in 1979 by a small group of Hobie sailors dedicated to the sport of catamaran sailing and racing. Since then our membership has grown steadily to become a mixture of novice and experienced sailors who enjoy all forms of cat sailing.
We plan an annual Regatta known to members as the “Hampton Regatta” that attracts the novice and the "pro". We look forward to meeting you and sharing our dreams.
Take a moment to either call one of the members listed on the back or you could also contact us online.

DetailsLangebaan must be the most spectacular sailing venue in South Africa. There is always a piece of flat water to find no matter where the wind blows from. Whether it is a Hobie, Mosquito, Dart, Tiger, or Prindle, any Beach Catamaran just begs to be sailed here.
Maybe you just want to blast around on wild reaches (my personal favorite), go for sail to kraalbaai, venture out into Saldanha Bay, do some hull flying, play in the waves or just cruise around Schaapen Island. In Langebaan you can get whatever you want from sailing.
