Cleaning Your Luff Track

By David Hall

Some may suggest using lubricant on luff tracks, but I'm a firm believer in NO lubricant here. Dirt is the enemy and all lubricants attract dirt. I take a coat hanger and squeeze a cotton ball into a tight bend. Soak it well in water and scrub the inside of your luff track to get all the dirt out. If there is old lubricant in there, use liquid dish washing soap or shampoo to get it out.
