Classified ads are free for now. In the future we may offer enhanced listings for a fee, but basic classifieds will always be free at www.TheBeachcats.com.

The free classified ads are strictly for individual sales of privately owned items related to beachcats or sailing.

All submissions to TheBeachcats.com are governed by our Terms of Service.

Dealers are welcome to promote their business on TheBeachcats.com in several ways, some of them free, but the Free Classified Ads are for private individual sales ONLY.

We offer several methods for dealers to promote themselves for free.

1. Place a link to your website in the Bookmarks section under Dealers.
   
2. Submit your legitimate sailing related events in the Calendar. This will be monitored closely. DO NOT ABUSE THIS!
   
3. Participate on TheBeachcats.com by submitting relevant news, do-it-yourself tips, and stories via the submissions link. Blatant self-promotion will not be published, but if you submit good content you may provide a link to your business at the end of the article.
   
4. Submit relevant content to the Photos section. You may add a comment to photos you submit that contains your business name and URL.
   
5. Any dealer who uses the above methods to promote their business MUST add a link to www.TheBeachcats.com on their website.

Privately owned specific items relating to beachcats and sailing may be advertised. This means ads like "Call me for all your parts needs" will not be allowed.

Yes, in fact our zipcode search allows you to search for ads that are within a selected number of miles from your location.

You need to set your browser to allow cookies from thebeachcats.com domain. Otherwise the site has no way to know you have logged in, once you change pages.

Congratulations! Your ad was a success! Now please login and go to your ad, at the bottom of the ad you will see a "SOLD IT!" link to mark your ad sold.

The classifieds on TheBeachcats.com are offered as a service to our members. It's completely up the the users (buyers and sellers) to complete the transactions. Remember that TheBeachcats.com usually knows nothing about either the buyer or the seller beyond an email address.

Before sending money to anyone, be sure you are comfortable you know who you are dealing with. Using PayPal or similar service can help assure you are dealing with who you think you are.

Never send cash.

You can add up to 6 pictures per ad. Login to the site, go to your ad and click on the Edit link at the bottom. Then use the 6 fields with the "Browse" buttons to upload pictures. Each picture can be up to 200k in size, the server will resize it correctly to fit your ad. The large size will be available with the "supersize" link beside each thumbnail.

It means that the ad has been "stuck" to the top of the results list so that it doesn't move down the list as other ads are added.

This gets the ad much more exposure. The automated process for getting an ad "stickied" is not complete, so for now your ad can be sticky in "Catamarans For Sale" category for $50 and in the Parts category for $30. Send a PayPal payment for each ad you want sticky to

If you have an ad you've already placed and would like to ad an option, just send payment to the above email and it will be added manually.

Just look at your ad while you are logged in. At the bottom you will see some admin links, including an Edit link.
